Collection: Warning signs

The warning signs are intended to prevent drivers of vehicles from being in danger on the road sector ahead and on its nature. The nature of the danger is given by the symbol of the indicator, supplemented, where appropriate, by an ad hoc panel installed under the indicator.

As a general rule, warning signs shall have the form of an equilateral triangle with a red box on a white background and a black symbol.

Subject to specific conditions for the location of certain indicators, which are made for each individual person, the majority of the warning signs shall be installed as follows:

In the localities before the dangerous place, at a distance of not more than 50 m; as conditions on the ground require the location at a distance of more than 50 m, under the indicator there shall be installed an annual panel.

Outside the localities: between 100 and 250 m before the dangerous place. As conditions on the ground require the location at a greater distance, an ad hoc panel should be installed under the indicator.

On the highways and express roads: between 500 and 1000 m and before the dangerous place. In all cases, an ad hoc panel must be installed under the indicator.

At the location where the length of the dangerous sector exceeds 1000 m, under the indicator, an annual panel shall be mounted. If the length of the dangerous sector exceeds 3 km, the indicator shall be repeated every 1.5 to 2.0 km, and the length of the dangerous sector shall be recorded on the annual panel.
